Responsibilities

Learn It is looking for Part Time Classroom Aides to work in our academic programs for the 2024/2025 school year. In this position, you would be a part of an educational team consisting of a program supervisor and a classroom teacher working with a diverse population of students. As a Classroom Aide you will be on site assisting students receiving instruction. Classroom Aides work with students providing instructional support, in addition to their regular classroom time.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating regularly with classroom teacher to identify specific academic skills and needs of students
  • Consistent communication with program supervisor and classroom teacher
  • Effective classroom management
  • Provide a safe and positive learning environment
  • Attend Professional Development Meetings

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivaent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a classroom setting
  • Computer literacy
  • Organized and detailed oriented
  • Professional appearance and attitude at all times
  • Must be able to adhere to a consistent schedule
  • Effective communication in both oral and written
  • Collaborate and able to receive to feedback, mentoring and direction from peers and supervisors
  • Must be flexible, solution-oriented, creative planners and positive thinkers
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service to principals, classroom teachers, and parents
  • Work location is a school building where employee will need to be able to go up and down stairsFrequent standing and ability to raise arms above the head dexterity for typing and entering data into a computer
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds
