This is a great opportunity to join a growing, interdisciplinary team of professionals focused on creating exceptional learning experiences for children in need.
Teachers will be a part of a team that works with students who qualify for Title I assistance. Responsibilities such as collaborating with the school to identify Title I students, delivering programs in a small group setting, administering pre and post assessments and tracking student progress are essential to the position. Classroom management and escorting students to and from the Title I classroom in order to provide a safe and positive learning environment that teachers will oversee are also key responsibilities.
Title 1 Teachers work with students who qualify for Title I instructional support, in addition to their regular classroom time. Responsibilities include: collaborating regularly with the school administrators and classroom teachers to identify specific academic skills and needs of Title I students, administering pre and post assessments, weekly lesson planning, and delivering effective, targeted instruction in a small group setting. Consistent communication, and tracking of student progress data are essential to the position. Effective classroom management, creative lesson planning, escorting students to and from the Title I classroom, providing a safe and positive learning environment are also key responsibilities. Teacher candidates must be effective and flexible educators, solution-oriented, creative planners and positive thinkers.
